    Last night, my wife coasted into the garage on vapors. Too busy to fill the tank this morning, she grabbed the keys to my car. Thankfully she warned me and left my wallet on the table.   As I filled up her tank, I noticed her front tires looked a smidge low. Knowing I'd purchased a cute little pink pressure gauge for her, I rummaged through her glove box trying to locate it.   I finally found it and went to work.     Growing up, I always enjoyed Halloween. Each year, my entire family would get together for a bit of a Halloween Hoedown.   When I say my entire family, I mean on my mom's side. My grandpa's and his brother's families would get together for a good old-fashioned cook out, horseback riding, yard games, a campfire sing along, and, of course, a hayride.     Car Buying Without Government Assistance

    As we get deeper into the month of October, I hope the ill-conceived "Cash for Clunkers" program completely fades from folks' memories.   From day one, I disliked the program.
