Nestled at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains the Creighton Ranch is located in the small South Fork of the Kern River Valley up about 3,000 feet above sea level. Traditionally oat and alfalfa hay, the operation now also produces potatoes in addition to running a 500 head cow/calf operation. Known for its hot days and cool nights with a longer growing season, crops produced here are typically sold at a premium. Pre-orders for hay are a must.
