    I remember my first day of Ag Science my freshman year of high school in Creston, Iowa. Ag advisor, Galen Zumbach introduced the course with British scholar Thomas Malthus. It made sense to introduce an introductory ag course by discussing the expanding world population and the importance of agriculture in sustaining that population.
