      I have an MS degree or a Masters of Science in entomology. It was one of hardest things I ever had to work at to get. Science was really demanding for me. Math and chemistry and physics, toxicology and biochemistry were tough. Some of my other courses, parasitology, biology and all of the entomology classes were easier because I could see what I was studying. Does that make any sense?     Dr. Jerry Mendell doesn’t play much golf. In fact the round he played this fall at Pleasant Valley Golf Course near Lancaster was the first he had played since he participated in the same event a year ago.     I judge a meeting by how many story leads it provides. The Ohio Certified Crop Advisers Crop Production Conference and annual meeting at the Fawcett Center Jan. 7-8 offered a bunch.   Although total attendance was about 80 less than last year, the program was outstanding and I look forward to sharing many of the presentations in future Ohio Farmer issues.
