NOMINATE A MASTER FARMER

The first class of Master Farmers from North Dakota and South Dakota have been named. They are Ron Alverson, Chester, S.D.; Jay Meyers, Colfax, N.D.; Brian O’Toole, Crystal, N.D.; Henry Roghair, Okaton, S.D.; Steven Strege, Lidgerwood, N.D.; and Jeremy Wilson, Jamestown, N.D.

Conducted by the Farm Progress Companies, publisher of Dakota Farmer, the Master Farmer award is the longest running farmer award in the nation. The award recognizes men and women for skillful management of a farm or ranch, for their family life and for their contributions to their church, community, state and agriculture.

Any individual actively involved in farming or ranching in North Dakota or South Dakota is eligible.

Family members, neighbors, friends and business colleagues are encouraged to nominate candidates.

The deadline for nominations is April 30.
