    I used to tease my kids that I wanted to grow muskmelons on the moon. I usually brought this up on a hot, humid day when we were weeding the melons. My kids thought the heat – or old age -- was getting to me. But now I can tell them I was just ahead of my time.     Blessings For A Double Crop

    At the recent Prairie Grains Conference in Grand Forks, Brian and Deb Lacey were greeting me at the door to the reception hall. We got to talking about how their crops turned out and they said their good year might be too to the blessings of a Jamaican minister. “What do you mean?” I asked.
