Email Blog RSS Permalink Print The Kansas Water Authority has determined the sedimentation of reservoirs and the depletion of the Ogallala Aquifer to be the two biggest priorities the state faces in maintaining adequate water supplies for the future. But there are no easy answers. For more than 30 years, we've talked about the depletion of aquifer as a "crisis." And for 30 years, we've continued to see declines in the water table. The January edition of Kansas Farmer begins a series of articles about water issues in Kansas and lays out some of the tough choices that lie ahead.
