Vagarities of the Weather Hit Everybody
What is OK Here May Be Not So Good There
Published on: January 27, 2010
I just returned to the real world from two days in Airline Travel Hell. This is because of the weather.
Only it really shouldn't be the weather.
You see, I wanted to go from sunny Wichita, Kansas to sunny Houston, Texas.
The problem is, my airline wanted to send me there through stormy Atlanta, Georgia.
Now, exactly why anyone should have to travel 1,000 miles east to get 600 miles south is up to the airline gods and way beyond me. But I have done it before and I was prepared to do it again. I just wonder why when it isn't working out so well, weather wise, nobody can seem to come up with something.. well.. flexible.
