'Twas the Night Before Christmas

My Generation

Forget the mice, there's a whole lot stirring in the Spangler house today!

…and all through the house, not a creature was stirring…

Ha! Yeah, right!

There's a whole lot stirring in the Spangler house today, as I imagine is the case in your home, too. The Spangler clan will soon descend upon our home for Christmas. Our grand total head count is at 19 this year, given the summer weddings of our niece and nephew. My job at this point is to simply maintain some level of cleanliness/orderliness until everyone arrives. All bets are off after that point, and that's half the fun.

So for now, I leave you with our Christmas card and letter, and wishes for a blessed and merry Christmas with your family!

The Spangler Household in Quotations

2012 Series

"The louder it is, the higher you go!" -Nathan, following his first motocross race at the Fulton County Fair. John was never so proud.

"I was born ready." -Jenna, as she, Holly and Grandma Sharon embarked on a 10th birthday trip to remember, to New York City

"Here, you can give this to someone who's Spanish to you!" -Caroline, and by Spanish, she meant special

"Ooh, I loooove wibeyes on the smoker. It's my favorwite meat." -Nathan, distracted during church, and with apologies to the Pastor

2012 was a year of remarkable highs and lows. And while we said an earthly goodbye to Holly's mother last spring, we were reminded - continually - that God is still God and God is still good. No matter our circumstances, and on the good days and the bad. We wish you many good days in the coming year, and pray that you'll find joy in His will.

Much love,

John, Holly, Jenna (10), Nathan (almost 8) and Caroline, 4

"The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world." John 1:9
