We have a minor addiction in our house: sugar cookies. And sugar cookie dough. And I know, salmonella. But it's so good.
My secondary addiction: cookie cutters. I have a lot. Let's just leave it at that.
Then last winter at the WIU Ag Mech Show, my kids came running up to me with a corn cookie cutter and I had to repress a minor urge to flip out. Seriously? A corn kernel cookie cutter?! So cool. I didn't even know such a thing existed. I've got tractors and cows and pigs and barns (oh, do I ever), but a corn kernel? This was too much. Many, many thanks, Pioneer Hi-Bred. This was way better than a hat.
So this week, we busted out the corn cutter and mixed up some dough.
We cut out some cookies.
And then we cut out some more.
We baked. Oh, did we ever bake.
And here is where the photos should be of us icing the cookies a lovely No. 2 Yellow, and then toting them to the field where we ate them all up.
But none of that happened. Let's be real. They were all eaten before we ever got that far.
